The inaugural 2025 SACNAS Postdoc Cohort Program (SPCP) is our effort to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for postdocs in a similar career-stage. SPCP participants will have an opportunity to network, share resources, insights, gain a community, AND participate in seminars relevant to their current career stage (new postdoc) for an entire year.

SACNAS has previously received funding from NSF to host a fully funded workshop on Grant Writing and Peer Review for early career scientists. Participants of this workshop will learn to critique NSF grant proposals as well as have the opportunity to develop their own proposal with the guidance of peers and advisors.

Eligibility
- Applicants should be postdocs or early career professionals who are interested in submitting a grant proposal to either the Biological Sciences (BIO) or STEM Education (EDU) directorates at NSF. Provides opportunities for women to establish careers and break the cycle of poverty. Created for low-income women, age 35 and older, who can demonstrate a vision of how an education can benefit themselves, their communities, and their families.

eligibility
An applicant for a JRF Scholarship must be:
- Identify as a women, age 35 or older
- Financial need (based on income guidelines on website)
- A U.S. citizen or Permanent resident of the United States
- Pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree
- Enrolled in or participated to a non-for-profit, regionally accredited institution
